Join Scottish Book Trust for this free Book Discovery session to explore a range of contemporary non-fiction texts you could introduce when working with children at Early, First and  Second Level in primary schools. 

Research suggests a rich and wide knowledge of contemporary texts for children and young people can help nurture reading for pleasure. This interactive session aims to support the development of this; highlight the latest titles recommended by Scottish Book Trust; and give opportunity to share your own recommendations and hear from other participants.   

If you’ve used a non-fiction text recently that you’ve found useful with your pupils, please bring along to share with others. This session is suitable for primary school staff, librarians and student primary school teachers. It will be held as a meeting on Microsoft Teams, with meeting details and a link to access the session emailed close to the event.
