CRAFT YOUR OWN PATH: Online Learning
Craft Nova Scotia is excited to launch a series of exciting online learning programs to assist makers in Crafting their Own Path by enhancing both their business, and craft practice.
This series of programs is open to makers with existing practices (late emerging or mid-career) to aid in advancing your practice at your own pace. This program has been developed with a focus on supporting makers. While our programs have been developed here in Nova Scotia the online nature means that they are accessible to makers both here in Nova Scotia and beyond.
The Business of Craft: Microcredential Program
This series of programs has been developed in partnership with Nova Scotia Community College and includes a series of 3, 10 hour, modules, including topics such as business fundamentals, financial sustainability, funding and investment, as well as communication and marketing. The program is designed with a specific focus on the craft sector and taught by experienced educators and practitioners. Programs are developed to enable makers to work on their own schedule and pace, with the support of an experienced instructor.
Upon successful completion of all 3 modules, participants will receive an official Microcredential in the Business of Craft from Nova Scotia Community College and Craft Nova Scotia.
Craft Nova Scotia is dedicated to ensuring that everyone who wishes to attend "Craft Your Own Path" has the opportunity to do so. We are providing 15 free of charge spots through the Accessibility Subsidy Registration reserved for individuals from marginalized communities and/or with financial needs.
