Whether you live in a big city or a small town, most of us feel disconnected from rural communities because of our identities across race, class, gender, religion, or political ideology. However rural spaces are an important part of building transformative political power in this country. Join us for a community gathering about creating safe spaces in rural places. We will take time to get grounded in our personal experiences with rural spaces, unpack the myths and realities of who lives in rural communities, begin to heal our own rural traumas and misconceptions, and take collective action toward creating more rural safe spaces.
