Marketing with Heart - creating a genuine relationship with readers to enhance your book sales
Learn with marketing expert and author Anna Caig on this month long, live and online course.
Getting your author website and mailing list offer right is a great first step for writers beginning their book marketing journey, enabling you to build long-term relationships with readers who will not only buy your books but also become real advocates for your writing.
Suitable for pre-publication writers looking to start building a platform, as well as established authors wanting to give their book marketing a boost, this course covers everything from how to identify target audiences - the groups of people who will have an interest in signing up to your mailing list and reading your books, to content. Choosing what topics to talk about and how much to share is often the most daunting part of getting your email marketing up and running. But it’s important to remember there’s no need to share more about yourself, your life and your writing journey than you’re comfortable with.
This course explores how to find content themes which are authentic to who you are as a writer, supporting you to find and build relationships with people who will love your books. We will also, crucially, identify marketing activity you’ll find enjoyable, avoiding the ‘chore factor.’
We’ll also look at the bigger picture - the important role your author website and mailing list will play in your book marketing overall.
This is an enjoyable, supportive and interactive course with plenty of opportunities for feedback and to ask questions and get personalised responses.
The course is month long and taught online with live tutorials and feeback, via YouTube and/or Zoom.
Author Lucy Santos says: "Training with Anna is friendly, fun and (above all) incredibly useful."
Michelle Matthews, Author, says: “Anna’s training was really helpful and packed full of useful advice. Her approach is very down-to-earth and she understands how many authors feel (overwhelmed, mystified, and panicked) at the prospect of marketing their work. She understands what goes into writing novels and what kinds of things authors are most likely to need help doing—her training is meaningful and tailored in this way. I’d add that I found the training useful as part of my writing process.”
