Alcohol, drugs and mental health are closely linked. Drinking too much or taking recreational drugs can affect wellbeing, and some people may use drink or other substances in order to self-medicate and control their symptoms.
But what can we do to support those who come to us that may be affected by substance misuse, and how can we help them find the help they need?
Somerset Public health are holding an online meeting to gather information on the current level of understanding around this issue and what training your group or organisation would need in order to better support people who are struggling.
Your insights will be used to develop a Drugs and Alcohol Misuse and Mental Health training session on Thursday 13 June.
Tickets are freely available to staff and volunteers from VCFSE (voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise) organisations in Somerset.
