From Spark to Flame: Developing Your Ideas

Sat, 20 Apr 2024 15:00:00 GMT → Sat, 20 Apr 2024 17:00:00 GMT (d=2 hours, 0 seconds)

What will be covered in this workshop?

Do you often wait for the muse to appear but nothing happens? Or do you have lots of ideas that you want to work on but never make it into fully developed stories? Do you currently have work that you want to finish but feel ‘stuck’?

This workshop will give participants the space to think about what inspires their writing, and techniques to try when the blank page is beckoning but the words are not cooperating. We will consider different ways to nudge our imaginations and try some writing prompts. You will have the chance to try approaches to cultivate an inspiration and also to work through barriers to completing a piece that won’t let go of your subconscious. Participants will have the chance to read their drafts as part of the workshop.

The workshop is suitable for writers of all levels who want to develop their ideas in a supportive environment.

What Participants Will Take Away

  • An idea of what inspires their writing
  • Two story drafts
  • An opportunity read their writing and have feedback
  • Further resources

There will be an optional opportunity to share.

This workshop is suitable for all levels.
