Cozy Gaming garden is a virtual gathering space under the Peer Support Space umbrella. This is a space for us to play cozy games independently or together, based on what the group wants. Cozy gaming, also called “comfort gaming,” is a type of gameplay that emphasizes relaxation, comfort and self-care. These games typically have a slower pace, calming music, and gentle gameplay mechanics. They can include exploration, building, puzzles, farming, and cooking.
We welcome anyone in the space 18+ who can honor the followiing Comfort Agreement:
Comfort Agreement - To keep the space cozy…
- We foster an inclusive, cozy community where all are welcome, including animal friends.
- We encourage individuals to meet their needs including coping w/ triggers. (Examples may include: turning off camera, stepping away, turning off volume, stimming, etc).
- To help others to meet their needs, content warnings are encouraged when talking about sensitive subjects (such as substance use, body image, or experiencing bigotry).
- This space honors all gamers, but to keep the space cozy: if you are playing a non-cozy game, please keep it off zoom audio/video to avoid triggering other participants.
- Please don't talk about gore or violence (real or fictional).
- You can use a safe word (verbally or in chat) if you feel harm is occurring. Our safe word is gazebo. Then, a facilitator will ask how you'd like to be supported.
- We embrace a gender diverse community. We encourage you to share your pronouns (if you’d like to) and respect the pronouns of everyone in the space.
- Although we all come from different backgrounds and intersections, we do not tolerate bigotry intended or not, despite how common it is in society. Bigotry can include things like sexism, racism, transphobia, classism, ableism, ageism, and unfortunately more.
- Feel free to communicate in a way that's cozy for you (such as only using the chat). It's okay to sit in silence and not talk.
- We welcome any and all accommodations that need to be made.
- We encourage the use of tone tags (verbally or in the chat). Examples include: Tone Tag Reference
