Upon completion of this training, the individual is awarded one (1) CE hours for psychologists, counselors, social workers, and therapists.
This course describes and reviews the research on using the Gottman Method with special niche populations such as ethical non monogamy, power exchange, and LGBTQIA communities, and the overlap with geek culture. This course will review how the Gottman Method is used and modified to work within these populations. This course will focus on assessment, intervention, and diagnosis specific skills for post-doctoral and master’s level clinicians who are working with clients facing these challenges.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify three reasons why the Gottman Method can be used with ethical non-monogamy, Power Exchange, and LGBTQIA populations
- Provide at least 3 interventions used with a modified Gottman Method to use with ethical non-monogamy, Power Exchange, and LGBTQIA populations
- List at least 2 difference which make working the special populations important with geek culture in combination with the Gottman Method.
