About the Trainer!

Paul is an experienced interpreter with over 15 years of practice since 2005. He received his initial training at Heriot-Watt University and worked in a deaf organization for a decade and a half. In 2020, he transitioned to specialize as a health interpreter for the NHS in Scotland.

Aside from his work in healthcare, Paul has a keen interest in interpreting across various domains. He enjoys interpreting political conferences, theatre performances, and comedy shows. Additionally, he takes on the role of a mentor for interpreting students from Finland, Germany, and the UK.

Paul's expertise has afforded him opportunities to present training events and speak at conferences across Europe. He furthered his qualifications by completing an MSc degree from Queen Margaret University in 2022.

Beyond his professional endeavours, Paul finds joy in exploring Edinburgh's streets and indulging in his love for Lego. His diverse experiences and varied interests contribute to his well-rounded approach to interpreting and training in the field.
