Neurobiology Of Parts Work: Using Neuroscience To Guide Your Interventions

Wed, 24 Apr 2024 18:00:00 GMT → Wed, 24 Apr 2024 20:00:00 GMT (d=2 hours, 0 seconds)

How does parts work help your client's brain create a path of healing?

Join Juliane Taylor Shore, LMFT, LPC, SEP in examining how parts work works from a neurobiological perspective. When you understand the underlying principles of how parts work is functioning in your client's brain you will be able to be more creative and flexible with your parts work. If you are new to parts work or if you know you like parts work but feel you are lacking some skills in being able to apply it then this training will help. If you are already doing lots of parts work and want to deepen your understanding of how it works so well then this course will be a fit for you.

2 CEs available to NYS LMHCs, LMFTs, LCSWs, LMSWs, LCATS, NYS Licensed Psychologists and NYS Licensed Psychoanalysts provided by Hudson Valley Professional Development, LLC upon successful completion of this virtual training.

Learning objectives:

Upon completion of the training, participants will be able to:

-name the system in the brain that witnesses parts and describe how this adds emotional regulation.

-list the steps to follow in order to locate and start working with a part.

-use the intervention of a parts map to their work.

-describe the brain changes that can occur in parts work.

-identify parts of themselves that inhibit parts work in clients.

-support memory reconsolidation experiences and witnessing mind skills through parts work.

In accordance with the NY State Department of Education guidelines, in order to receive continuing education contact hours, a participant needs to be present for the duration of the workshop/training. Therefore, participants who arrive late or leave the event early will not be granted a certificate of completion.

Cancellation Policy: Refunds will be provided for cancellations made in writing up to one day prior to the start of the event.
