Join us for a virtual masterclass in developing successful products delivered by Stefan Knox, Founder and Creative Lead at Bang Creations, and David Warrilow, founding Director and Patent & Trademark Attorney at London IP.
If you have 3D product innovation or invention ideas, this workshop offers you clarity and efficient development planning techniques that will help you develop, launch and protect a successful product.
Since 2013, this workshop has led to countless participants realising their product ideas and going on to secure backing from renowned investors including The Dragons Den, with many successfully bringing their products to market.
This workshop will help you to:
- Assess the investment potential of your idea
- Identify what to expect when collaborating with a product design agency
- Understand the development process, next steps, and associated costs.
- Integrate sustainable design practices into your product's development journey
- Understand intellectual property protection and how to avoid infringement.
The workshop is split into parts on two separate days and you can attend one or both sessions.
Day 1: Designing and developing your prototype product 10:00 - 12:00
In this session we will breakdown how a product designer will evaluate a product concept and create a development plan to bring a successful product to market.
This section is delivered by Stefan Knox who brings over 30 years of his commercial experience to this session. You will receive practical guidance on crafting innovative product designs, optimising manufacturing approaches, determining production quantities, setting appropriate pricing, refining branding elements, and navigating the complex landscape of product placement.

Day 2 : Intellectual property and protecting your product 10:00 - 12:00
We de-mystify the world of intellectual property (IP) and clearly explain the differences between the different forms of IP protection and the strategies in filing them.
David Warrilow has over 20 years of experience in Intellectual Property and will help you to clearly define what intellectual property (IP) is, what IP can be patented, registered and trademarked, and the strategy in their filing.
