Thu, 23 May 2024 02:00:00 GMT → Thu, 23 May 2024 04:00:00 GMT (d=2 hours, 0 seconds)

The headspace University Support Program is hosting a short engaging workshop, expanding upon the teachings of our Real Talk 1 session to apply our NIP it in the bud framework to a number of scenarios and relevant case studies.

This interactive workshop will provide participants the opportunity to explore the complexities of having conversations around mental health in the university setting. By examining the barriers to dialogue and help seeking we can work towards greater mental health outcomes for staff and students. We welcome any staff member of any Australian university, regardless of your role.

This workshop will:

  • Revisit the NIP it in the bud framework to build confidence to have conversations around mental health
  • Explore some of the mental health challenges of the many individuals and diverse populations that make up the university community
  • Determine the barriers to having conversations and accessing supports for students
  • Provide strategies in which people have increased knowledge to support services

Whilst having attended Real Talk 1 will be beneficial, it is not essential. But if you get the oportunity to attend Real Talk 1, it will certainly help to assist these conversations. A reminder that this is an interactive workshop so come ready to learn, engage and share with your colleagues.
