The speakers will consider the treatment of extension of time clauses in standard form contracts, consequences of non-compliance, and discuss the issue of when time for completion becomes at large and treatment of concurrent delays. In addition, the Singapore court has also considered recently the test for determining whether liquidated damages should be struck down as penalty clauses and if so , whether damages recoverable are limited by the amount of liquidated damages imposed.
