Following Publishing Day on Saturday 18th May, we hold script consultations with agents on the morning of Sunday 19th May. These are aimed at students in their second year, those on the Advanced Writers Workshops and alumni of the programme who have attended Publishing Day.

During the script consultation, you will have an opportunity to discuss your work in a twenty minute one-to-one consultation with one of our visiting agents. You must have completed the first draft of your manuscript/ collection of stories in order to qualify for a script consultation.

You will need to prepare:

A one-page synopsis of your work

A short biography that includes relevant experience (no more than 150 words)

An extract (preferably from the first chapter/lead story) of between 2,500 – 3,000 words. Please make sure your name and the title of the work is clearly visible and indicate whether it is a work of fiction or non-fiction (biography, autobiography, memoir, travel writing etc).

On submission of your work you will be sent the time of your consultation on 19th May and the Zoom link. No work will be accepted after the deadline.
