Voir Dire Simulation Program

This program will offer hands-on experience to the participants in voir dire. It is being offered via Zoom on Thursday, April 18,2024 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM and Friday, April 19, 2024 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM. CLE credits will only be awarded to attorneys who complete all 4 Zoom sessions.
Audio and video capability are required for this training, and participants will be expected to be on video at all times during the training. Use of a laptop or desktop computer is required for this program. You may not use a phone or tablet for this program.
Day 1 of the program will include instruction and practice in voir dire. Day 2 of the program will give each participant an opportunity to voir dire a panel of mock jurors and obtain feedback from the mock jurors and program instructors.
Participants will earn 12 hours of CLE credit for participation in the full program, and the program will apply toward the skills training requirements of Standard 1. Again, CLE credits will only be awarded to attorneys who complete the entire program.
To be eligible for participation in the program, you must be a licensed attorney representing indigent defendants within the State of Michigan. You must plan to participate in the entire two-day program.
This program is limited to 6 participants. A wait-list will be compiled once the program is full.
