THE WORKSHOP:
In this session, we’ll explore the world of Gothic fiction, taking in the classics that made the form what it is through the current resurgent wave within the genre. Exploring some of the key tropes and assets of the Gothic, we’ll be serving up advice and guidance along with creative exercises to get those darker stories going!

THE TUTOR:
Alex Davis a writer, tutor, lecturer and events organiser based in Derby. He has been teaching creative writing in a range of capacities for 15 years, and has been a lecturer at the University of Derby for the last five years. He is currently working towards his PHD and working extensively on a series of online and in-person writing events, including the third running of the UK Ghost Story Festival in February 2023.
